  • 4.11 Where are my seats?

      Click here for the new stadium diagram to locate your seats. Follow the directions on your ticket to enter the proper gate and the signs inside the stadium.[Top]

  • 4.12 What time do the gates open?

      Gates open 90 minutes before kickoff. As a courtesy, the University asks you to be in your seat 20 minutes before kickoff. [Top]

  • 4.13 Can I smoke in the stadium?

      Smoking is prohibited in the stadium and in all University buildings. However, I have seen people puffing away on the concourse in the upper levels away from the main seating areas. [Top]

  • 4.14 What can or can't I bring in the stadium?

      No cans or bottles may be brought into the stadium. Thermoses of up to two quarts are acceptable. No seat backs may be brought in either (only Prefered Seating has seat backs). Certainly no alcohol of any kind. Do not bring coolers, portable televisions, or noise making devices. Umbrellas are strongly discouraged and will draw the wrath of whoever is sitting behind you. The University will gladly sell you a poncho.

      In the wake of recent national events, bags will be searched more carefully than usual.[Top]

      No pass outs will be given. [Top]

  • 4.16 What can I get inside the stadium?

      With the expansion, concession areas have more than doubled. Amongst the food items (1999 prices subject to change):

      • Hot Dog -- $2.00
      • Polish Sausage -- $2.50
      • Soda Drinks (Coca Cola Products) -- $2 and $2.50
      • Drinks with 46 oz. Souvenir Mug -- $4.00
      • Assorted Candy -- $1.75
      • Coffee (Cocoa in season) -- $1.50
      • Peanuts -- $1.75
      • Nachos -- $2.50
      • Pretzel -- $2.00 (Cheese $0.50 extra)
      • Popcorn -- $2.00
      • Cracker Jack -- $1.75

      There are water fountains located in various places. There are also several souvenir kiosks in the stadium.[Top]

  • 4.17 Where is first aid and lost and found?

      First aid is in three locations around the stadium, underneath Sections 4 and 25 and behind Section 128. There are also first aid trained students and others wearing red shirts walking around the stadium to assist. If you need immediate help, get an usher. Lost and found is matained at the Public Safety and Information Office located under Section 27. [Top]

  • 4.18 Is the stadium handicap accessible?

      The expanded stadium fully complies with the American with Disabilities Act. A public elevator is located near Section 9 on the east side of the stadium. There are both steps and ramps to get to the upper portions of the stadium. There is also specifically marked wheelchair seating areas in the upper section. [Top]

  • 4.19 Can my baby or small child come into the game with me without a ticket?

      The rule at the stadium is one person equals one ticket. It doesn't matter if the baby or child is in your lap and wouldn't take up an additional seat. Pleading with the ushers won't help.[Top]

  • 4.21 What happens before the game?

      After warmups, the teams retire to the locker rooms. The visitor team's band, if present, marches in and performs their pregame. After they move to the sideline, the Notre Dame Band runs in and performs their songs. The Battle Hymn of the Republic is played as the Irish Guard receives the flag, and America the Beautiful is played as the flag is raised. The band marches off, and the teams separately run out onto the field from the tunnel. Now it's time for kickoff. [Top]

  • 4.22 What happens at half time?

      The Notre Dame Band performs, after the visiting band performs if present. Occaisionally there is addition halftime entertainment, such as the Navy Honor Guard. [Top]

  • 4.23 What happens after the game?

      The Notre Dame Band perform several songs before marching out and back to the Architecture building. The visiting band, if present, will march out after the Notre Dame band.

      Generally there are athletic contests with the soccer or volleyball teams immediately follwing the match or on Sunday. Those with ticket stubs can usually enter for free.
